A North East software business is bringing together industry experts to show how its pioneering technology is helping to solve long-standing challenges within traditional manufacturing processes, in an approach that has substantially increased production rates for global manufacturers and saved millions in costs.

MSP is hosting a major event in Gloucestershire to demonstrate how long-established manufacturing processes can be revolutionised through the use of its software, and how issues including manual error, machine error, part setup error and CMM backlogs can be eliminated from the manufacturing process.

MSP, based in Alnwick, works with major companies around the world, including BAE Systems PLC and three Formula One teams, and is continually providing solutions for various industries including aerospace, defence and 3D printing.

Through the development of its NC-Checker and NC-PerfectPart software, MSP has proven its ability to save companies huge amounts of time and money, with examples including cutting production time for one Formula One team by 9.5 hours.

The event, on June 5, is being held at the high-technology base of its associate company, Renishaw, at their Innovation Centre in Gloucestershire and will be attended by industry figures from across the UK.

This follows on from a series of webinars hosted by MSP, which focused on the challenges companies face within various industries and offered insights into how to solve them.

Peter Hammond, MSP Technical Director, said: “Throughout our 17 year history, we have solved many common and complex manufacturing problems and, as a result, have gained a huge amount of knowledge on how to achieve precision within the industry. This will be a great platform for us to share this expertise and help other members of the industry achieve error-free manufacturing processes”.
