Protech have partnered with Gentoo who have chosen to ‘Pay It Forward’ to local charity The People’s Pantry NE. They collect surplus food from major supermarkets which would otherwise make its way to landfill, offering it to the community at an affordable price in the form of ‘happy boxes.’
Michelle Wemyss from The Peoples Pantry NE, said:
“Kind donations such as these are a huge boost for us so I can’t thank Billy and Ian enough for this donation. Until now I found it very difficult to be organised as I was keeping track of everything on my phone and in a notepad. This makes life far easier and means I can be a lot more efficient, dedicating more time to the people we’re trying to help.”
Billy Broad, Community Partnership Coordinator at Gentoo, said:
“We love the fact that Protech are committed to donating lots of refurbished IT equipment to various charitable organisations. We try to work with local community groups as much as possible so the Pay It Forward scheme allows us to support these groups and make a contribution.”
As part of their Pay It Forward scheme, Protech will continue to partner with many more organisations across the UK to help as many worthwhile causes as possible.
