The region’s largest multi-discipline recruiter which is also Europe’s number one consumer sector business, will support McBride plc with talent acquisition activities across Europe.
McBride is Europe’s leading provider of private label household products. The business has factories throughout Europe, producing products for major retailers globally.
In 2019, McBride launched a competitive tendering process to enhance the quality of talent attraction and ensure consistency across the Group. The aim was to identify international partners to support recruitment activities across manufacturing sites in eight European countries.
McBride has traditionally relied on local HR teams in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Luxembourg and Denmark to manage all recruitment, including using country-specific agencies to assist with talent acquisition projects. This resulted in several different working practices and fee structures in place across the Group.
McBride’s Group HR/L&D Projects Officer, Joanne Povey, commented:
“We want suppliers with a good understanding of the business and its challenges, and networks in relevant countries. This should ensure the right calibre of candidates are recruited, with efficient processes and quick response rates. After a rigorous tendering process, it was clear that Nigel Wright’s impressive local and international track record throughout Europe made them the ideal partner for McBride. We’re confident they’ll meet our requirements and help us upskill our European operations at all levels.”
Nigel Wright’s Associate Director, Ben Debnam, added:
“We are delighted that McBride trusts us to attract the most suitable people to its workforce. It’s great to be partnering with their multi-country business that’s so keen to improve their competitiveness. Our offices across Europe provide us with the capability and coverage to deliver McBride’s requirements. Nigel Wright provides scale, reach and pan-European co-ordination to headhunt the best talent. We are proud to play our part in helping McBride succeed as they develop their operations.”
