Design and Digital agency JUMP have successfully launched the latest international software brand to have its origins in Newcastle.
JUMP was commissioned by clinical research software house Datatrial to create a new international brand for the company’s first software launch in nine years as well as developing their online presence.
Managing Director of JUMP, Rob Brown explained: “We worked very closely with Datatrial to understand their software platform and growing European and US markets to reposition them as a software house rather than that of a service-based business, following their divestiture of this aspect of their business in 2017.
“Part of this included the launch of their new software, which brings every element of running a clinical trial into one place for the first time.”
Julie Wright, Commercial Director of Datatrial added: “Our latest software, Nucleus, which we recently launched in Europe and the US, seamlessly transforms the process of linking documents to complete data results in the highly-regulated environment of clinical trials. We’re delighted with the success of the launch and the buzz we are creating in all our international markets.
“This was our first new product launch in nine years following on from our market leading platform nowEDC. Creating a strong and international brand was important to us as the majority of our sales are in Europe and the US rather than the UK.
“It’s an exciting time for Datatrial as we are looking to build our footprint and develop our markets with 3 new product launches this year. This will be transformational for our business given our respected software platform nowEDC has been established for nearly 12 years.”
Rob continued: “We have been working with Datatrial for a number of years so working on the naming and branding of their latest software platform and designing and developing a new responsive website was a natural next step.
“Our first priority was to come up with a name for the product that would position Datatrial as the industry experts they are, as well as being distinctive and dynamic and one that works in many different international markets. We explored lots of naming options before arriving at Nucleus, which is the central and most significant part of something and forms the basis for activity and growth.
“When it came to the brand identity, we wanted to create a visual that powerfully represented the idea of one central core with its unique parts working around it. We also wanted to show that whilst the components have their own uses, they are all unified in one purpose to enhance collaboration and assist in decision making.”
Datatrial was founded in 1999 to develop software to improve the clinical research process. Soon after, the company successfully expanded its offering with services geared toward helping customers run clinical trials more efficiently and more cost effectively. In 2017, Datatrial sold its data service division to a US-based company to allow it to focus solely on software development and new products.
Nucleus provides clinical research clients with a compliant and fully validated solution for their data and most importantly helps them bring new clinical products to patients quickly, efficiently and on budget.
