Background:

Future Homes is a new organisation that is working to challenge ideas on housing by developing bold new housing designs that fuse together meaningful responses to ageing well and urban sustainability while incorporating helpful digital technologies. Future Homes was formed by Professor Rose Gilroy of Newcastle University, bringing together a range of stakeholders from the university, local authority, business, and the third/community sectors.

They have developed a creative and democratic process of drawing out the design from many voices; secured development finance; secured sites and will be building their first units of housing in June 2018.  In addition to development finance from Karbon Homes and Housing and Communities Agency, the group have funding from Legal and General to develop their design thinking and run industrial challenges to ensure that their housing is informed by the brightest and most innovative thinking.

They are working toward incorporation as a Community Interest Company who, as the Future Homes Alliance will, in the future, seek to partner with researchers to promote and test innovation and, as an expert partner, work with developers of all kinds to build out further Future Homes.

Challenge – Create a new website:

Future Homes is looking for strong web presence that captures the passion of the partners, the innovation of the project, and the creativity and impact that comes from cross sectoral partnerships.

The site will be informational:

The site also needs to generate academic, industry/entrepreneurial and developer interest in their products and offers of engagement.
