EY is working with the Northern Powerhouse Partnership to deliver a sprint of four, two hour sessions across the North over the course of Thursday, 20 September. Starting in the morning in Liverpool then onto Manchester through to Leeds and ending in Newcastle.
The aim of the sprint is to bring together business leaders and entrepreneurs from different sized businesses to share different perspectives about the opportunity digital presents for business transformation and as a way for us to help drive economic growth and narrow the North South divide. The Government’s recent Artificial Intelligence sector deal is a great catalyst to start to have a debate around how we as a region leverage this and other opportunities effectively to lead the next industrial revolution.
“We don’t want this to be a talking shop” says Sandra Thompson, EY Managing Partner for Newcastle. “We want to produce some tangible outputs that we can share with Government to assert our shared commitment to seizing the opportunity, with a clear breakdown of how we can help to make that happen. There is a lot of talk about digital but we’re not sure that businesses are all aware of what it actually means for them and the future – we want to help unlock that. This will be a chance to hear from other businesses and experts in the room about how they’re navigating challenges to drive transformation”.
