In response to ongoing COVID-19 situation, Institute of Coding at Newcastle University has created a new series of new FREE online events to help improve digital skills running weekly 2pm-3pm on Thursdays.

Cyber Security for Homeworking is addressed by experts from Institute of Coding centres across the North East on Thu 30 Apr 2pm-3pm. Prof Aad Van Moorsel from Newcastle University Dr. Paul Vickers from Northumbria University and Prof. Alistair Irons from Sunderland University address security issues around working from home. https://bit.ly/IoCCyber

The concept of Deep Learning, a subset of machine learning is introduced by Stephen McGough, Senior Lecturer in Computing at Newcastle University on Thu 7 May 2pm-3pm. https://bit.ly/IoCDeepL

A hands-on session to learn the basics of object-orientated programming in Python is offered for beginners in an introduction to Programming for Python on Thu 14 May at 2-3pm. https://bit.ly/IoCPython
