Data destruction company ProTech City has moved into new custom-built premises as part of its ongoing expansion thanks to support from Scaleup North East.

Based in Peterlee, Protech City specialises in the secure disposal, destruction and sustainable recycling of IT assets and data.

With support from Scaleup North East since joining the programme in 2018, the company has been able to move into a larger site to accommodate the growing demand for its services.

Part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Scaleup North East is delivered by RTC North and aims to help North East businesses grow with advice and tailored support.

Speaking about the programme, Protech City operations manager Ian Murphy explained: “Our Scaleup partner Craig Huntingdon was brilliant and has provided us with the guidance and confidence we needed to be able to realise our full scaling potential.

“Through his background and own experience of running a business, Craig was able to advise on how large corporate organisations work when it comes to procuring services, which we found extremely beneficial.”
