Young entrepreneurs move software startup to Newcastle’s Carliol Studios

A young North East software company has moved into new premises to support its growing team.

Nebula Labs has relocated to a bigger office at Carliol Studios in Newcastle, where it employs a team of five and plans to recruit more new faces in the coming months.

The business was founded by Dylan McKee and Nic Flynn, both 23, who set it up after university to provide digital solutions for clients ranging from startups to large corporates.

In its first year, Nebula worked on projects including festival apps, tourism platforms, public transport ticketing systems and the control system for an audio art installation.

Dylan said: “We had an amazing first year, it’s been fantastic working on some amazing and interesting projects with a wide range of great clients, and we were honoured to also win a prestigious award.

“We love being able to work on solutions that excite and challenge us and we’re looking forward to more of that this year.”

He continued: “We’re passionate about being based in the north east and are aiming to be able to offer our support to more clients within and beyond the region, from our new home in Carliol Square.”
