Enigma has partnered with the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS), a charity delivering life-saving critical care by air to people across the North, to modernise its digital fundraising, transforming a complex legacy WordPress site into a donor-first platform that’s designed for faster, simpler donations, and simpler for staff to manage.
Working closely with GNAAS, the company adopted and stabilised the existing site, overhauled navigation around supporter actions, and rebuilt the donation journey to move people from intent to impact with fewer steps.
Behind the scenes, a strengthened integration with Donorflex now automates supporter data and Gift Aid processing, cutting manual admin and improving campaign insight.
The new integration marks a step change in how GNAAS uses digital to drive its mission forward. Designed with flexibility at its core, the platform gives the team far greater control over their content, empowering them to create more dynamic, visual, and engaging pages without relying on developers.
Enigma has also worked with the team to develop and promote the a live coverage tracker, which tracks the charity’s ongoing efforts to raise vital funds for a third helicopter and can be viewed here.
Next steps will include a site-wide quick-donate feature, plus continued accessibility and mobile improvements and as the charity sector continues to face funding challenges, GNAAS is now better equipped to grow support, increase impact, and future-proof its digital fundraising strategy.
