Sage to release second £370k entrepreneurial funding pot this month

FTSE 100 tech giant Sage has launched the second round of funding from its Enterprise Fund, which supports the creation of emerging entrepreneurial programmes to help improve the lives of military veterans, young people or women and girls in and around the North East.

The Newcastle-headquartered business, a market leader in cloud business management solutions, has awarded over £370k in funding so far this year ahead of the new wave, of the same amount, being released on November 28.

Sage’s Foundation says that the fund is specifically designed to support small non-profits with exceptional, original ideas on the brink of delivering real change to communities.

Steve Hare, Sage’s Chief Financial Officer, explained: “Non-profit organisations survive and thrive thanks to the dedication of staff and volunteers.

“But they also need funding to take action, which is why we have set up Sage Foundation’s Enterprise Fund, awarding grants to support vital local projects.”

Since January 2016, Sage Foundation has been taking action to build sustainable social, economic and entrepreneurial opportunities in Sage’s local communities around the world.

Steve continued: “I’ve seen small charities with really exceptional, original ideas on the brink of delivering real change.

“Too often all that is stopping them is access to funds to make an enterprising solution turn into reality. That’s what we are committed to supporting.”
