Royal Academy of Engineering: Applications for the 2019 MacRobert Award open.

The Royal Academy of Engineering MacRobert Award, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019, is the UK’s longest running and most prestigious prize for engineering innovation. It recognises outstanding engineering innovation combined with proven commercial success and tangible social benefit. Winners receive a £50,000 cash prize, gold medal and national acclaim.

Applications can come from right across the breadth of engineering, from small and large companies, as well as newcomers and those well-established in their industries. We welcome applications that showcase the diversity of talent supporting UK engineering innovation.

The 2019 winner will be revealed at the Academy Awards Dinner in London on 11 July 2019 from a shortlist of three finalists.

The online application process is simple, and only requires the following:

  • Innovation (no more than a 500 word summary on the submission form)
  • Commercial success (no more than a 250 word summary on the submission form)
  • Benefit to society (no more than a 250 word summary on the submission form)
