Newcastle-based PropTech firm, iamproperty, continues to grow at pace taking on 70 new team members reaching 250 staff at its head office and across the UK.
The PropTech firm is attributing its rapid expansion to an increase in online property auction popularity as well as the positive reaction to the launch of iamproperty movebutler, a platform for agents and consumers which is designed to address pinch points in the moving process.
Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the employer has been operating a hybrid working model which has allowed accelerated growth across the UK, as well as within their North East head office. Recent key appointments include Kelly Stillman from Dorset who is now iamproperty’s Head of Operations and Georgia Hale from Ireland who has been appointed as Customer Onboarding Specialist. Locally, James Lambert from the North East is now in post as Senior Software Developer.
Ben Ridgway, iamproperty’s Group Managing Director, said: “We’ve always been a fast paced, growing business but the recent digital adoption across agents and consumers has seen our biggest year for growth yet.”
Ben continued: “Working right across the UK allows us to attract top talent, which means our agents and consumers get the best solutions and the best service. Just like we flexed our business during lockdown to support agents to operate remotely, we’re doing so internally with our hybrid working policy. Our people and creating the best working environment and culture is always going to be our biggest focus and we’re working hard to keep this a priority, regardless of where our colleagues work from.”
Alongside tech, marketing and business development roles, the organisation is recruiting nationwide for its popular sales training programme for Associate Auction Specialists to support the growth of its auction services offering iamsold, the UKs largest residential property auctioneer.
Data from the Essential Information Group (EIG) reported that property auction sales doubled during June and have risen dramatically over the last twelve months. This sentiment is echoed by the sector with 77 per cent of agents surveyed by iamproperty agreeing that auction is likely to be the way forward when it comes to buying and selling property.*
Jamie Cooke, Managing Director at iamsold said: “We’re really encouraged by the increase in agent awareness and consumer confidence surrounding the Modern Method of Auction, as well as our other solutions to modernise the property market.
“Our positioning in the market has been perfect to capitalise on the huge demand we’ve seen. It’s clear that the property industry is in the fortunate position of being one to not only survive the effects of the pandemic but thrive. As a result, more property professionals feel comfortable seeking their next role and opportunities in a sector that feels secure.”
Bilal, who joined the Associate Auction Specialist training academy in April said: “Learning about auction has been really exciting, especially as it’s such a fast-growth area. The training is very good and like nothing I’ve experienced before. I’ve been supported throughout by my managers and colleagues – there’s a real sense of community. I’d recommend iamproperty to anyone who wants to move on to their next challenge in the sector.”
Jamie concluded: “We have always been an ambitious scale up and our plans for more innovation and growth make it a really exciting time to join us”.
