North-East Based Search Engine Marketing Agency Achieves The Standard Good Work Pledge

  • North East-based search engine marketing agency has been awarded the standard good work pledge.
  • They have been awarded thanks to their efforts across three pillars, valuing and rewarding their workforce, effective communication and representation and social responsibility.

Search Engine Marketing Agency ROAR Digital Marketing are happy to announce that the North East Combined Authority has awarded them the Standard Good Work Pledge.

Awarded for their efforts on three different pillars of the criteria, including valuing and rewarding your workforce, effective communication and representation and social responsibility for the following reasons.

Valuing and Rewarding Your Workforce

Not only do ROAR pay their employees a fair living wage, but they also promote job security and value within the team by investing in their growth and development through training opportunities and industry events. Their goal is to nurture their team’s talent and help them flourish in their career.

Effective Communication and Representation

Employees are always listened to, and made to feel valued, from junior to senior level. ROAR believe that giving everyone in the team a voice and allowing them to have a say in everything from the training they receive to how they run aspects of the business helps to grow confidence and in turn, a happy working environment.

Social Responsibility

Not only do ROAR value their workforce, but they also believe that, as a business, they have a responsibility to both the environment and the local and broader community. They do this through charity work and a partnership with the climate action pioneers at Ecologi, which has allowed them to plant over 1000 trees, remove one tonne of CO2 from the air, and avoid a further eight tonnes, while also helping to restore natural wildlife areas.

Not only this, but they also use their digital marketing expertise to help local charities grow. In recent times, they have supported the Great North Air Ambulance Service in migrating to GA4 in order to help them carry on the life-saving work they do and also supported other local charities across the region including North East Youth and Space to Think.

Speaking on the award, Michael Knowles, Director of ROAR digital marketing said “Building a business that has meaning, purpose, and, above all, values is important to me. Ensuring that I do the things I believe a good employer should do for my team and then being recognised for this is something I take great pride in. Working environment, pay, feeling valued, and development are so important for people both at the beginning of careers and beyond, so making sure I do this for my team has always been at the heart of ROAR.

Over time, getting involved with charities and supporting them in any way we can is a great feeling and something my team shares a passion for. This isn’t something we can do 24/7, but whenever the opportunity arises, we like to do our bit for great causes. I’m passionate about instilling this passion in my team by allowing them to suggest causes they’d love us to get behind now and in the future.”

ROAR Digital Marketing are determined to carry on with their Good Work Pledge by supporting future charities and putting clients, employees and partners’ well-being at the heart of everything they do.
