Capgemini is participating in The Prince’s Trust Million Makers programme for 2017 and we are seeking other organisations to join us to demonstrate the generosity of the North East, as we compete against other corporate teams across the rest of the UK.
The programme is an annual entrepreneurial challenge organised by The Prince’s Trust. Corporate teams from across the UK compete against each other to turn small seed funding, secured from The Trust, into a minimum donation of £10,000 through a carefully executed business plan, all to help support and inspire young people to transform their lives. Our team, “Serge to a Million”, presented their idea in a Dragons’ Den style pitch focusing on how we would harness the power of the generosity and talent of people and organisations in the North East to help showcase our region and help change the lives of more young people, than any other team.
And so a request…we would like to invite you to an informal Drinks and Nibbles evening to which we are aiming to secure attendance from some of the North East’s biggest organisations. The aim of the evening …. to use the collective knowledge and capabilities of the North East to brainstorm additional fund raising ideas and importantly recruit your organisation to join our fundraising network.
Additionally we would like to install some local competition with the creation of a pledge board, ranking those organisations which pledge to raise the largest amount of money for the cause over the remainder of 2017. Any participating organisation will of course get brand recognition for your contribution in communication with The Prince’s Trust and communications issued regarding this element of our fundraising challenge. If you needed any more convincing of the importance of joining in, a Prince’s Trust Young Ambassador will also be joining us on the evening to outline the impact The Trust has made to them and others in the region.
When and where
The Drink and Nibbles evening will be held between on 7 September, 2017 from 18:30 and 21:00 at an exciting venue in Newcastle. At this stage we would like to gather a list of organisations who are interested in attending the evening and joining this fantastic opportunity to collectively make a difference.
Register your place
If you would like to register and secure your place, please let us know by 14 August, 2017. A formal invite will then be issued directly to you confirming the event details. Whilst the evening will be free to attend we will be running a raffle on the night and we of course would love you to donate generously through the purchasing of tickets to win some exciting local prizes!
