Expanding Seriös Group creates two senior director roles to drive future growth

Seriös Group, the Newcastle-based data analytics and testing consultancy, is set to maintain its rapid growth with the appointment of two additional board members.

The company, which reached revenues of around £1.5M in only its second year of trading, has welcomed Chris Stavers as Sales Director, alongside Mark Fishwick who joins as Service Delivery Director after previously providing the firm with consultancy support.

After a period of healthy organic growth, Chris – who has previously held roles at Darchem Engineering, Elfab Limited and Carrs Engineering – takes up responsibility for overseeing the newly created sales function. His experience within engineering and manufacturing firms will stand Seriös Group in good stead as it eyes an expansion into the sector.

Mark joins Seriös Group following a period working with the firm as a consultant. A large part of his role will be ensuring that the appropriate skillset is deployed throughout the course of a project to maximise the benefits to a client. Additionally, he will use his experience managing complex data projects for UK law enforcement and IT providers to drive greater standardisation of methodologies across Seriös’s specialist teams to improve collaboration and efficiencies.

Lee Rorison, Chief Executive Officer at Seriös Group, said: “The creation of these two key director roles is designed to support our continued expansion. We have plans for several other new roles and have started an aggressive recruitment drive to ensure we have the right mix of skills and experience to maintain our growth trajectory.”

Paul Davison, Operations Director at Seriös Group, said: “We continue to go from strength-to-strength, with significant client and project wins. However, we felt that the time was right to bring in a sales expert like Chris to allow us to capitalise on that momentum and deliver our scale-up ambitions.

“I am very pleased that Mark has come on board to support our project delivery having worked with us as a consultant. He has proven himself to be extremely capable and we’re all very excited to work with him to further improve the efficiency and deployment of our team’s skillset.”

Mark Fishwick said: “Having already worked alongside Seriös Group as a consultant, I am delighted to join the team on a permanent basis. I have been involved in a number of young businesses and thoroughly enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of helping a firm grow and reach its potential. Seriös Group has achieved great things in the last two years and it has a very bright future, which I very much look forward to being part of.”

Chris Stavers added: “Seriös Group’s brilliant use of data allows organisations to better understand their own operations, making efficiency improvements, reduce waste and maximise profitability. I am really looking forward to boosting our presence and introducing engineering and manufacturing firms to how 21st Century data collection and analysis can transform their business.”
