DYNAMO’S FUTURE AND BENEFITS REVEALED AT NETWORKING EVENT

DYNAMO, the region’s tech network, will host its first networking event of the year next week.

The event, jointly hosted with partner Sunderland Software City, will be held at the new Virtual Production Studio at PROTO in the Baltic Business Quarter, Gateshead next Wednesday, January 25, starting at 9am.

Speakers will include Dr David Dunn, Dynamo CEO, and Clare Nicholson, Dynamo Partnership and Engagement Manager, and the meeting is open to Dynamo members and non-members.

David will share Dynamo’s plans and ambitions for 2023, and what the organisation’s key focus areas will be for the next 12 months and beyond.

Clare will outline a raft of new benefits for Dynamo members. She said: “We’ve been looking very carefully at what practical benefits we can offer members. Through our access to events and opportunities Dynamo has helped shape our regional sector through collaboration – but we wanted to make membership even more attractive.

“So I’ll inform existing and prospective Dynamo members about the membership packages we’ve put together, while David will be talking about our strategic direction and ambitions over the coming months and years.”

More than 80 people are expected at the event, and places can be booked through the events section of the Dynamo website – www.dynamonortheast.co.uk

Last year, Dynamo and Sunderland Software City announced a merger aimed at bringing more capacity to support the growth of the north east’s digital and tech sector. David was confirmed as CEO of Dynamo, while continuing as CEO of Sunderland Software City.

Dynamo North East is made up of tech organisations, large corporate employers in the region, consultants, technology hubs, education providers, local government and suppliers to the industry. Dynamo relies on the support of the region’s tech organisations to help achieve regional growth in the sector, promote the region externally, develop skills and education, and support regional research and development.
