#D17 Hack launched as part of Dynamo 17 Conference

To demonstrate the incredible talent and innovation we have in the North East, we will be running a live Hackathon during Dynamo 17 conference on Monday 03 July. The Hackathon will bring together developers, students, designers and tech enthusiasts from across the region – all Dynamo members – to develop creative tech solutions that benefit the North East.

Aims

  • To build innovative solutions to improve the accessibility of information about the North East IT & tech sector
  • To encourage collaboration across the tech community
  • To showcase the strength and breadth of the sector

We need people who

  • Have ideas
  • Enjoy problem solving
  • Are interested in technology
  • Have experience of writing code
  • Are happy to work under pressure
  • Have a mixture of skills
  • Develop software and design

People with ideas

Do you have a great idea on how we could use technology to make information about the North East’s tech sector more accessible?
We can only choose a maximum of 5 ideas so get yours submitted now. We’ll share the shortlisted ideas before the event.

Participants

On the day, Hackers will have eight hours to bring ideas to life and demo solutions to our judges.
If you’d like to be one of our Hackers and showcase your creativity and coding skills get in touch.

Spaces are limited and each team needs a mixture of skills including software developers and designers. You can either apply to take part individually and we’ll allocate you a team or apply as a pre-formed team. Team sizes should be no more than 6 people. We would recommend at least 80% of the team are able to write code. Winners will be announced on the day. Details on what they win will be announced soon!

Hack Team led by Mark Norris, Development Manager: Product Delivery (Banking Cloud and FaaS / Shared Services) at Sage with support from Accenture and Capgemini.

The hack is part of the Dynamo 17 annual conference, click here for full event details.

Deadline for ideas and participants: 23 June 2017
