Workfinder is a platform to inspire the next generation and create a pipeline of talent to drive the UK’s most ambitious growth companies. Aimed at young people aged 16-24, the Workfinder app allows young people to source work experience opportunities that align with their goals and aspirations. We are developing our Workfinder service to boost the employment chances of young people in your local area by giving them a taste of the world of work.
Workfinder is available for young people to access UK wide. Within the North East we are particularly interested in businesses who are able to support the following schools, all of which have students from the ‘Villiers Park scholars programme’ actively searching for work experience opportunities:-
- Benfield School, Newcastle
- George Stephenson High School, Tyneside
- Longbenton High School, Tyneside
- North Gosforth Academy, Tyneside (formerly Seaton Burn College)
- Walker Technology College, Newcastle
- Excelsior Academy, Newcastle
- Burnside BEC, Newcastle
- Churchill College, Wallsend
We need your help to support these young people in your area.
Students on the Villiers Park scholars programme are high achievers with a desire to succeed. They are focused on getting into University and they will thrive with different work experience opportunities that a company like yours can offer them. These students would be an asset to your company if given a chance to do so. You can read more about the Villiers Park scholars programme here.
The work experience offer can be for any length, ranging from a ½ day workplace visit, one week placement or an embedded programme of weekly/monthly attendance.
