Aspire’s ultra-fast Internet connectivity powers Verisure for North East expansion

Following their recent move to the North East, global security firm Verisure, will benefit from revolutionary full fibre Internet connectivity. Deployed by Aspire Technology Solutions throughout the North East, the ultrafast connection boasts the fastest speeds available in the country.

Verisure recently selected Quorum Park, North Tyneside as the location of its new UK operating site. Bosses are investing £3million in their new base and are set for expansion, creating up to 1000 new local jobs.

The company, which is Europe’s largest domestic alarm provider with more than 3.3 million customers in 17 countries, is already advertising new roles.

Kevin Croft, operations site director at Verisure said, “This project has been a long time coming and many people have spent thousands of hours planning and preparing. We are beyond excited to have launched Verisure’s Centre of Excellence in the North East and I personally look forward to building a team that will continue to offer best-in-class service to our customers throughout the United Kingdom. Our new state of the art offices are perfectly geared to deliver on this promise despite the effect of the global pandemic. Aspire helped to ensure that we got connected and fully operational under difficult circumstances.

“We had ambitious plans to secure Internet connectivity for the new office straight away, however, when speaking with a range of national telecom providers it became apparent that the required lead time would delay things by at least a couple of months. We were fortunate to speak with Aspire who offered us the fastest connection possible with a significantly reduced lead time. We placed the order at the end of April and Aspire completed the installation within weeks. We are now fully set up.

“Following our growth, we are well on our way to achieving our ambition of being the largest provider of monitored alarms in the UK. The new ultrafast connection will ensure we scale our business and continue to offer customers a seamless, quality experience without any disruption”.

Aspire who were recently crowned Company of the Year at the Northumberland & Tyneside North East Business Awards 2020 are one of the fastest-growing IT companies in the UK. The Gateshead-based company have set ambitious plans for improving business connectivity across the North East region and have invested £1.2m in the local infrastructure to launch their full fibre North East network. Known as Ultrafast Dedicated Connections (UDC), Aspire offer internet connectivity of up to a phenomenal 100 gigabit per second (Gb/s).

Chris Fraser, managing director at Aspire said, “Following our recent investment in the North East’s connectivity infrastructure, we are in the unique position to offer local businesses the fastest Internet connections on the market at an affordable price. Our full fibre network is a game changer which delivers more than just speed. The dedicated connection allows businesses to take a huge step forward in their communication and technology capabilities, offering a dependable platform for business growth across the region”.

Verisure has signed an 11-year lease at Quorum Park. Mark Rabinowitz, director at Shelborn Asset Management added, “It is fantastic to welcome Verisure to Quorum Park. Aspire already serve a number of our existing tenants with their next generation full fibre connectivity. Quorum Park offers the ideal environment for businesses to thrive”.
