Data Innovation Bootcamps

The National Innovation Centre for Data (NICD) is pleased to announce the return of our highly regarded Data Innovation Bootcamps. This immersive and interactive learning opportunity will introduce Newcastle University students to innovation methods that explore how to create new products and services that customers want. Students will gain all-important problem-solving and business skills, exploring data, in collaboration with the Digital Skills Lab, to gain business insight. The bootcamp will offer direct collaboration with industry leaders and guidance from domain experts.

Could our students help solve your business problem?

The Bootcamps will accommodate up to fifty students from the faculties of Science Agriculture and Engineering and Humanities and Social Sciences. Each business partner will propose one challenge for the students to interrogate. This should be one that is live within the organisation and is actively being investigated. It should also be supported by a relevant data set that could add value to a potential solution. Student participants are organised into groups of five, with each individual business problem being tackled by at least two separate groups at a time.
