Code of Conduct
Dynamo North East is a business-led organisation with the core mission of:
- Providing clear and precise agreements for the supply of products and services and honouring them faithfully.
- Honestly representing the functionality of our products and the skills, experience, and status of our employees and contractors.
- Offering our customers and members only those people, products, and services for which we have appropriate rights and capabilities
1. Respect for Confidentiality
We understand the importance of confidentiality in fostering trust and collaboration within our community. While our normal business operations do not heavily rely on confidential information, should the need arise, we pledge to handle such information with the utmost respect and discretion.
2. Transparent Representation
Dynamo North East C.I.C. is committed to transparency at all times. We therefore pledge to:
- Engage the wider membership through Dynamo North East C.I.C. channels, ensuring transparency in our interactions with stakeholders.
- Communicate outcomes from meetings with stakeholders back to the wider membership through Dynamo North East C.I.C. member engagement channels, where applicable.
3. Corporate Citizenship
We recognise the transformative potential of technology in fostering positive outcomes for people, society, the economy, and the planet. As such, we strive to:
- Promote the effective and responsible use of technology for the betterment of all.
- Conduct ourselves in a proper and respectful manner when interacting with customers, members, partners, and the public.
- Avoid disparaging others, including customers, competitors, and Dynamo North East C.I.C. staff, both publicly and privately.
4. Respect for Others
We expect all members and their representatives to uphold professional standards and behave appropriately while participating in all Dynamo North East C.I.C. activities. Any behaviour or communication deemed inappropriate by Dynamo North East C.I.C. will be addressed promptly and directly.
5. Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy
Dynamo North East C.I.C. is committed to providing an environment free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on factors such as race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, etc. Any instances of discrimination or harassment should be reported immediately to info@dynamonortheast.co.uk with the subject line “FAO CEO – Discrimination/Harassment Report”.
6. Professional Development
Members are encouraged to pursue continuous learning and professional development opportunities relevant to the tech sector. Dynamo North East C.I.C. may facilitate access to training and development resources for its members at times.
7. Community Engagement
Members are expected to actively participate in community initiatives, events, and collaborations within the tech ecosystem of the North East of England. Dynamo North East C.I.C. will organise or support community engagement activities to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among members.
8. Environmental Sustainability
Dynamo North East C.I.C. is committed to minimising its environmental footprint and promoting eco-friendly practices among its members. Members are encouraged to adopt sustainable practices in their operations and support initiatives aimed at protecting the environment, where appropriate.
9. Reporting Mechanisms
Any violations of the Code of Conduct or concerns related to unethical behaviour should be reported to info@dynamonortheast.co.uk with the subject line “FAO CEO – Code of Conduct Violation”. Reports will be handled with confidentiality and investigated promptly.
10. Whistleblower Protection
Dynamo North East C.I.C. ensures whistleblower protection and non-retaliation for individuals reporting violations of the Code of Conduct or unethical behaviour. Members can report violations with the assurance of confidentiality and protection from reprisals.
11. Consequences of Violations
Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including suspension or termination of membership. Dynamo North East C.I.C. reserves the right to investigate reported violations thoroughly and impose appropriate sanctions.
12. Regular Review and Update
This Code of Conduct will undergo regular reviews to ensure its relevance and effectiveness in promoting ethical behaviour and professionalism within Dynamo North East C.I.C.
The board of directors or an appointed committee will oversee these reviews and update the code as needed to reflect changes in organisational policies and industry standards. This Code of Conduct was last updated in March 2024.
